Great questions for all ages and most students love animals! I am a social worker and can use these questions to guide students to talk about goals they would like to achieve in therapy. You can "stack the deck" to get answers to questions while doing art, playing a game, etc.
I brought this to one of my homeschool classes and the girls were shy at first about opening up . They soon got the hang of things and knew that it was all positive things that we were going to be doing. the mood of the room was very light and cheerful and the little cards helped them leave with happy thoughts and smiles to continue the day. The cards are good quality- not just plain cardboard, but have a nice finish on them like playing cards- this will help them last longer, especially if handled by smaller children. I now carry them in my purse and they are great when a kid has a bored period or start getting antsy when waiting for something. Also- the box hasn't come apart, like some things do after being bumped around in a purse for a while.
These Conversation Starter Cards are small and compact. However, the thought provoking questions are big and quite meaningful. They can break down barriers of misunderstanding between children and adults. These cards would be great to use at meetings, school, home, on vacation, etc. We need to communicate our feelings more and these cards can help that happen.
Wwll made, nice paper quality, great graphics and wonderful messages. I pulled one at random for a photo. The front has a positive affirmation, the back has related question and follow up to get kids thinking and creative. These would be great for teachers, theraptis, parents. Great gift as well. I love these and will search out more from this company. I work with kids in transitional housing and these will get put to use with them!
These cards are a useful tool for starting meaningful conversations or building rapport with children. I plan on using them in therapy, but I think they would also be helpful for teachers, social workers, ect. They look exactly like the pictures. My only complaint is that the box was a little difficult to open in that I almost ripped it to do so, but this does not reflect the quality of the cards.
